This fun and energetic class is led by Debbie Glincher, a personal trainer with many years of experience leading seniors through never boring exercise routines. Cardio and light weights or resistance bands are incorporated into each class.
Tai Chi is a graceful form of exercise that is used for stress reduction which enables the body to work more efficiently. Sensei Frank Gaviola will guide you through this system of gentle moves and stretching, ensuring that your body is in constant motion. Tai Chi is low impact and puts minimal stress on muscles and joints.
Marie Brown leads her students in this effective yoga program. Breathing, stretching and gentle movements make this an exercise for beginners and more advanced participants. No experience is necessary, although you must be able to get down to and up from the floor without assistance. Bring your own mat or purchase one in our Café.
This class is one of our most popular and well attended classes at the Center. This Chair Exercise class is a great starting point for seniors who are new to exercise, or simply want to have a gentle, easy to follow program. Chair Exercise is designed to improve balance, posture, mobility and flexibility. Small weights are available for those who choose to use them.
Working out really can be fun with Zumba Gold. The zesty upbeat music with easy to follow moves combine to make exercise feel more like a party. Linda Taylor will lead you through the fun and lively moves. Just bring yourself, comfortable clothes and be prepared to have fun while you exercise.
