Membership Information

Absolutely not!  We have members from all over Sacramento County, as well as some who come from Yolo and San Joaquin counties.

The Senior Center of Elk Grove is an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.  Our budget consists of donations, fundraising, membership and activity fees and grants (Area 4 on Aging, City of Elk Grove and others).

The Senior Center of Elk Grove is primarily for those who are 50 years and older.  We do have several younger members who have joined to participate with their parents or grandparents (which is so much fun!), or choose to exercise in a clean, safe space with excellent instructors and where no one is judged based on ability, beauty (ALL seniors are beautiful), race, gender, religion or lifestyle. 

The Senior Center of Elk Grove is an adult activity center which offers excellent exercise programs, fun games, exciting travel opportunities, lively art classes, essential talks/seminars and much more.  We are here to engage our growing older adult community to maintain a healthy, vibrant lifestyle, make friends and explore all the wonderful ways there are to enjoy life!

Yes, you can.  The Senior Center has a myriad of information sources to share with our senior community.  Please call or come into the center so we may help you in a more personalized basis.  In case the Senior Center is closed and services are needed immediately, please contact Sacramento County information services by dialing 211 from your phone or visiting www.sacramento211.org for help 24 hours a day.
